Event Description :
The first civil society dialogue was held from 27-29 September 2013 in India. The meeting was hosted jointly by MARAG and FAO, and facilitated by IPC, WAMIP and CSM. The purpose of the meeting was to agree on a mechanism and representation that will best serve the need for the effective participation in the Agenda by different constituencies (pastoralists, peasants, rural workers, indigenous peoples) in different regions (Latin America, Africa, Europe, Asia).

Event Agenda :
The Agenda is a partnership of livestock sector stakeholders including social movements, NGOs, CBOs, public and private sectors, producers, research and academic institutions, committed to the sustainable development of the sector.
In that respect a meeting with participants from these social movements and community-based constituencies, to
- Discuss the Agenda’s role in addressing sustainability in food and agriculture
- Agree a mechanism and representation that will best serve the need for the effective participation in the Agenda by currently marginalized groups.
