Current Intervention
When the whole world was struggling in the COVID19 and cameras nationwide focused one every nook and canny of the country, there was a section forgotten by all. The Pastoralist community, who move with their livestock and keep migrating for at least 8 months of year. In order to help them survive during the lockdown we ensured that not only people but their source of livelihood i.e. the livestock are also safe and have availability of food.
We have not stopped since then; currently MARAG is working with two PHCs - Santhali PHC in Radhanpur block and Dhokawara PHC in Santalpur block, Patan District in Gujarat, with support from Azim Premji Philanthropic Initiative (APPI). MARAG is aiming for 100% vaccination in these two PHCs, targeting 28761 doses.
